fab finds...{wedding gifts outside the box}

wedding registries are handy, little tools. the bride + groom get what they want/need and guests don't have to think too hard about what to give as a gift.

but what if there is no registry? or perhaps everything's already been purchased. or maybe you'd like to do something a little bit special.

here are a few ideas - all handcrafted, all unique and meaningful - and all personalized. something special for any budget!

while any bride + groom would be overjoyed to receive any one of these gifts, i wouldn't suggest ignoring the registry unless its a couple you know well - ya never know how much they may be looking forward to that blender :-)

fresh pastry stand.
i stumbled across this shop quite by accident but i'm so glad i did. not quite sure how i've missed them since they've been getting some wonderful publicity BUT better late than never!!!
with the holiday season coming up quickly, i've had my eye out for unique additions to the table for entertaining.
check these out:

wonderfully ecclectic pieces that would look brilliant on the thanksgiving table!

and how perfect would this candle be, incorporated into the table decor i mentioned last week! her shop contains all kinds of unusually fabulous beeswax candles.

fab finds....{moroccan dinner party}

 i'm in love with world market. i was poking around today and look what i found!
i've had it in the back of my mind to host a mom's night out moroccan dinner party after the kids went back to school. i've been collecting decor & serving pieces, working on printables but i've still been dragging my feet a bit.
but this is inspiring!!

holiday help....{4th of july}

i was wandering around the world-wide-web in search of some holiday decorating inspiration.

here's a few "easy but so inspired" options if you're seeking some suggestions!

the tin can luminaries are adorable - especially the fireworks! the kids can help and can be easily customized. 

and that flag. oh, that flag!! as you know, i'm currently crushing on anything coastally inspired.(and there's a tutorial - easy, peasy!!)

i love the whimsy of the denim waistband on the cake stand - adds just the right touch to keep the montage from looking typical.

i feel the same way about the bandanas - so clever!
